Sam Barr had a vision back in 1961,
when he bought a handsome bay T.B. foal from a sleepy corner of
LincolnshireSeen through an advert in Horse & Hound and
chosen firstly for his bloodlines and secondly because of Sam's
admiration for the wonderful mare Princess
Grace (who was by the same sire as Gameful,
Princess Game). She had an unequalled
performance record, winning championships all the way through to
eventually becoming a champion broodmare. She oozed presence and
had the most wonderful gallop. |
